Milan, with its famous Navigli , offers an enchanting example of urban aquatic architecture, once used for transport and today the beating heart of social and cultural life. This area, characterized by canals that evoke the ancient water network designed by Leonardo da Vinci, is animated by cafes, restaurants and artisan shops, making it a favorite destination for shopping and nightlife. The historical connection between the Navigli and Lake Maggiore is represented by the Naviglio Grande, once a crucial waterway for the transport of people and goods between Milan and the lake.
